« Chapeau Noir & The Classic Cardigan Mystery - Solved! »
Sounds like a fantastic title for a truly gripping novel, does it not? No? Not really? More like the sort of title one might find on the deep discount table at your local bookstore you say? Umm, ok. Agreed. Chapeau Noir won't push his luck.

As per Chapeau Noir's Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) when it comes to dissecting the who is wearing what on tour, the first, and perhaps most obvious stop, was graememcdowell.com. At the time, McDowell's site only revealed that which was known to Chapeau Noir: Louis Copeland and Sons for customer trousers, and Stuburt for custom shoes.
Nary a mention of the cardigan. Not one to be easily deterrred, Chapeau Noir forged ahead, onward to step two of the CNG SOP, which prompted him to email all possible sources of the hidden cardigan information - Louis Copeland for one, Stuburt for another, respected industry insiders, and of course, McDowell's third grade teacher.
No success was to be found on any fronts, and it appeared that all was lost - until earlier today, as Chapeau Noir diligently followed step three of the SOP - sit back and wait!
CNG reader P. Knight (not the Nike P. Knight, but the other P. Knight, Creative Director of ice9media.com) put Chapeau Noir out of his cardigan mysery, emailing a link to a tell-all web page entry found back on - you guessed it, graememcdowell.com. Posted on July 4, two weeks after the big win and as many days after Chapeau Noir's last read of the site, McDowell systematically runs through each and every one of his apparel providers.
McDowell's cardigans and shirts are courtesy the slim looks of Gabicci, and his military style hats will become available from Callaway Golf starting on August 9 at retailers in the United States, Canada, Europe, Japan, Korea, China and Australia.
Sounds like Greenland is out of luck.
But there you have it, yet another apparel mystery solved. Proving that with a modicum of effort, when mixed with a sprinkling of patience and a resourceful readership, success awaits!
