« Chapeau Noir Goes Mainstream? »
With the lead up to The Open this week at St Andrews, Chapeau Noir has been busy with media requests!
Don't miss Chapeau Noir and his musings on the state of golf style in today's online edition of The Scotsman, Edinburgh's daily newspaper. You'll not want to wrap your fish and chips in this edition, at least until you're done reading "Dressed to a tee: Fashion at the Open", by Alice Wyllie.
Here's just a short a taste of what Chapeau Noir had to say:
"It's generally accepted that if you look good, you feel good - which can then translate into playing better golf," he says. "Golf gives people a platform on which to express their personality a bit more freely than they can in most other situations. There are certain pieces one might never wear to the office, like a bright orange trouser, but it's the very item you look forward to wearing all week when it comes time for your Saturday morning fourball. Golf is an opportunity for people to take some chances - with their scores, and their clothing."

Don't be under the impression that author Alice Wyllie shines all the light on Chapeau Noir. Online shop proprietor extraordinaire Andy, of GolfPoser.com lends his insight and perspective to the article. Andy's an excellent chap with a great selection of brands that you would be hard pressed to find elsewhere.
Buy stuff from him. Lots and lots of it, ok? For example, get your Lyle & Scott at golfposer.com, after all, who doesn't love a brand with Lyle & Scott-type history, especially during Open week?
Last but certainly not least, many thanks go out to Alice Wyllie for including Chapeau Noir in her article.
It's great to see the word getting out from what we might deem as more traditional media outlets that guys really do care about what they wear on course, and that we're far beyond the stuffy sansabelt era of the past.
That said, who among us doesn't yearn for a sansabelt revival?
