« A Memorial Tournament Rose »
The Memorial Tournament wrapped up on Sunday with adidas man Justin Rose staking claim to his first PGA Tour win. If it seems like Rose has been around forever, he has, having first come to our attention at the 1997 Open Championship in an combination of Reebok and FootJoy, befitting his then amateur status.

Rose has grown up quite a bit in the 13 years since is famous fourth place Open finish, and is now married and with a son. To cap it, he now has his first win on American soil, making for a happy impromptu family photo shoot.
As it turns out, the demise of Justin Rose, if not adidas Golf apparel, has been greatly exaggerated though Chapeau Noir is completely onside with the Khaki Crusader regarding adidas and it's recent struggles. To the KC's defence, as it stood on Friday Rose was a very big part of the under achieving adidas tour staff. Perhaps Rose subscribes to the KC and was suitably inspired!
Rose rose to the occasion in basic black, making us wonder if his trousers really are those born of the adidas design minds - check out the popular yet fashionable golf slit at the bottom of the trouser - but word has it they are adidas Golf Formotion pants.
CNG Ticker: Even young Leo Rose is in the adidas fold, as evidenced by his three striped sneaks... Thongchai Jaidee of Thailand was resplendent in red trousers and a black mock zipped polo... paired with Tiger Woods in his traditional red jersey and giant black pants. Thongchai and Tiger made for an interesting Yin and Yang... the much ballyhooed Ricky versus Rickie (ballyhooed here on CNG at least) matchup proved somewhat anti-climactic, but at least one always knows where Fowler is on course, in case of sudden darkness... my kingdom for a Memorial Tournament action shot of Ryan Moore in TRUE Linkswear shoes... Can you smell what the Rock is cookin'? Chapeau Noir can, and it's a polite, gentlemanly, hatless style... Bo Van Pelt wears Flare, a new apparel entrant based in Tulsa, OK that still doesn't have an online presence - odd considering it's 2010 with the internet and such.
