TRUE linkswear Announces Breakthrough Golf Shoe, Endorsed by PGA Player Ryan Moore
Convention is not a word found in the vocabulary of one Ryan Moore, the 2009 Wyndham Championship winner who is making a rather interesting habit of endorsing and investing in smaller golf companies.
Earlier this year signed on with and invested in Scratch Golf, a company known for its custom wedges and and unnumbered iron sets and now Moore makes news again today, signing an endorsement contract and making a financial investment in the hitherto unknown, yet incredibly intriguing golf startup TRUE linkswear.
Intriguing why? Well, quite simply, if these shoes feel and perform half as great as they look, TRUE linkswear has a winner.
Ryan Moore signs with and invests in TRUE linkswear, a Dallas based golf footwear and apparel company.
Today's golfer is far more open to new ideas and new brands than ever before, and while a backlash against established industry players can't be said to exist, there is a definite air of openness and willingness among modern golf consumers to look beyond the traditional brands. Companies such as Scratch, Kikkor, and now TRUE linkswear being prime examples.
In the press release, TRUE linkswear announces that Moore is wearing prototype golf shoes from TRUE linkswear at this week’s Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth.
“I’m wearing TRUE linkswear golf shoes because they’re the lightest, most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn. I’m a feel player and every part of the way I experience the game of golf, from the teebox through the green depends on having a solid connection with the ground. These shoes provide that connection in a way I’ve never felt before. I was so excited to learn about this golf shoe concept, and when I finally got to wear the shoes for the first time, I knew I wanted to wear them on Tour.
I can’t wait to share that feeling with you.”- Ryan Moore
Before you think Chapeau Noir has gone stark raving mad over a shoe that won't hit retail shelves until the fall, read the following TRUE linkswear employee edict and you'll be getting in line with yours truly at the job application window...
"We mandate that every employee must walk 18 holes during the work week because product testing and connection to fellow golf consumers are the most important ingredients for our success."
