March 24, 2012 -- The most iconic golf style photograph I can think of is one of Sean Connery, circa 1962, sporting a driving cap, and a vibrant red jumper paired with turned up denim, with a golf bag slung with style over his right shoulder.

« Adam Scott: International Man of Mystery »

From the what ever happened to file, Chapeau Noir focuses the style spotlight on Australian Adam Scott.

Scott cuts a dashing silhouette, but these days is as non-descript as they come amongst professional golfers when it comes to showing any manner of logo aside from his Titleist sponsorship. You will be hard pressed to find any hints in any recent photo set.

Scott is the anti-Lee Westwood if you will, which is a good thing.

Always forthcoming, Scott spoke frankly on the state of his game during a press conference just prior to the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, and actually took the time to thank the media for taking it easy on him during his recent on course struggles.

For some reason this won't be a sentiment echoed upon return of another golfer we haven't heard from in a while, save for different reasons of course.

All of this aside, Chapeau Noir has been keeping a close eye on Scott ever since his deal with Burberry expired. The British luxury fashion house moved away from a golf-specific range shortly thereafter.

In the interim, Scott has been seen plying his trade in personal selections, mainly from Hugo Boss. This could be a great fit for both Scott and Boss, but it remains to be seen if solution is more than just a passing fancy.

Announcement Pending

Word from the Adam Scott camp is that a formal announcement regarding Scott's apparel will be forthcoming during the week leading into the CA Championship at Doral, March 8-14, 2010.

While this guy looks good in pretty much anything, it is curious that Scott has been without an apparel deal for the better part of a year. Chapeau Noir wonders if Scott may be branching out with a personal line of apparel. A risky venture, but if done right, could prove rewarding.

Time will tell. Stay tuned.
