« PGA Merchandise Show Preview »
With the PGA Merchandise Show set to kick off on Thursday in Orlando comes a myriad of golf fashion news hits for your consideration.
As this is the time of year that brands both big and small clamor for your attention, Chapeau Noir offers the following pre-show apparel highlights to keep top of mind as you cruise the show floor looking for new trends, and of course, the occasional freebie.
While Chapeau Noir regrets he is unable to attend the show this year in Orlando, he will, as always, have his ear to the ground for whatever is next in golf apparel, so stay tuned!
Dunning
Dunning Sportwear reach
es back to the 1960's for inspiration (shorter sleeves / trimmer cuts) for the fall 2010 line it will debut at the merchandise show. Dunning is pure class all the way.

Sligo
Three-time PGA Tour winner Brian Gay will visit the booth of Canadian apparel brand Sligo at the PGA Merchandise Show on Friday, January 29. Are we sure Sligo isn't European?

Abacus
Abacus makes its PGA Merchandise Show debut and could be the sleeper hit of the show. Chapeau Noir digs the Abacus vibe - edgy without being garish, stylish without being snotty.

Quagmire Golf
While Chapeau Noir hasn't heard much from old-fave Quagmire Golf of late as he'd like, the Canadian-based (yet another - that's three out of four!) company will be showcasing an all-new Campus / Corporate collection for tournaments, corporate buyers and collegiate bookstores that can be quickly and easily customized for buyers.
While it sure sounds like they have their production line in order for corporate runs and three week turn-arounds on custom jobs, here's hoping Quagmire has something in store for the to satiate Chapeau Noir's fashion palate too.

BogeyPro
Finally, from the 'there's a brand out there for everyone' file comes BogeyPro, a Minnesota based company that is at the show to introduce its 2010 line of accessories and apparel, which can only be described as being about having good times - which more of us need to focus on.
Says founder Arik Nordby:
"We're a lifestyle brand that embraces the average-to-bad golfer. We golf poorly, enjoy drinking and aren't afraid to poke fun at ourselves, so we decided to build a brand for this group."
BogeyPro's sense of humor is infectious, in a good way. Look no further than their PGA Merchandise Show advert, inviting you to a kegger on Thursday, January 28 @ 6 PM, while letting you know they're kinda near a bathroom. Win!
Visit BogeyPro at booth number 2109.
