All Access Pass: Top Golf Personalities on Twitter

April 24, 2012 -- Golf is oft criticized for being out of touch with the mainstream, of being narrow, elitist, and generally not welcoming to the masses. Well, criticize no longer, at least when it comes to Twitter.

Undressing golf's dress code

March 24, 2012 -- The most iconic golf style photograph I can think of is one of Sean Connery, circa 1962, sporting a driving cap, and a vibrant red jumper paired with turned up denim, with a golf bag slung with style over his right shoulder.

« Day One Observations from The Presidents Cup »

Collar Issues for Tiger, Mickelpants, AK's White Belt, PrezCup SunDog Specials & More!

Most Presidents Cup team members are out of their clothing element this week, and some are dealing with it better than others.

Notably, Tiger Woods had crinkly collar issues that persisted for the duration of the round. Although this probably drove him nuts, it did not reflect in his play. But honestly, this could be the best Tiger has ever looked in a pair of golf trousers, though the pose is far from flattering.

Fred Couples is right at home in Ashworth, and it shows.

Phil Mickelson was out of his Tom Ford specials (NSFW), and into élevée, for which some last minute tailoring was required, and from the expression on his face, the pants may be too tight in the seat!

The now super-fit Anthony Kim, who without doubt covers both ends of the 38-38 rule, stood out from the uniformed crowd with his custom white belt buckle. On the International side, team members are showing solidarity right down to their custom Presidents Cup buckles, as witnessed on Japanese teen sensation Ryo Ishikawa and Mike Weir.

Hunter Mahan's Presidents Cup SunDog Eyewear - click the image to win a pair!Weirsy and Hunter Mahan, both SunDog Eyewear gents, have custom goggles for this week's big event. Mahan wins on the patriotic flash factor front.

Stewart Cink's caddy took a cue from the San Francisco Giants jerseys idea to scrawl the number 23 on the side of his cap on Thursday, presumably in reverence to honorary American assistant Michael Jordan.

Here's a better look at the Sun Mountain Rainflex jackets, as worn by MJ and actual assistant Jay Haas.

Not to be forgotten, the wives were represented by none other than Elin Woods. Mrs. Woods went all crafty with patches, including that of a Presidents Cup logo, the American flag, and the San Francisco Giants. The result? A rather kitchy chapeau from one side, and then the other. Who's gonna tell her no?
