« flood watch: matt kuchar at turning stone »

While watching the replay of the PGA Tour Fall (as in 'let's watch the ratings fall once Tiger stops playing') Series event at Turning Stone on Golf Channel tonight (faux HD) I was dumbfounded by the site of the flood pants sported by the golly-gee-aw-shucks-rosy-cheeked Matt Kuchar, who looks like he just stepped off the set of Little Rascals.

Matt Kuchar, aka Alfalfa, second from right?Granted, Verona, New York has seen its fair share of rain this week, and the course understandably is soggy. Lift, clean, and place is in effect, and we all know that there is nothing more annoying then having waterlogged pant hems.

Well, actually, there is - and Matt Kuchar is walking proof.

From the looks of it, Matt is expecting heavier rains, so heavy that he's hiked up his trousers about two inches too high!

I like Matt, a lot. Have liked him since he couldn't wipe that silly grin off his face at the Masters in 1998, but someone must intervene! No man should walk the links, or walk to work in pants at this length. Time to spend a bit of that Honda Classic dough on a decent tailor!
