« Winner's Circle: Troy Matteson Wears Peter Millar »
At first blush, the sexier apparel story in the apparel Winner's Circle this week would have been Rickie Fowler, rather than the seemingly uninteresting Troy Matteson.
After all, Fowler is the 20 year-old phenom who is making a habit of being near the top of the leaderboard in his first two PGA Tour events as a professional, and recently signed a fancy apparel contract with Puma. Fowler could be on his way to securing his Tour card for 2010 and bypassing PGA Tour Qualifying School altogether, so I'm sure he and Puma will get a turn in the Winner's Circle.

Now if that isn't a mission statement a company and its clients can rally around, Chapeau Noir doesn't know what one would be!
Peter Millar apparel evokes a distinctively traditional vibe than Fowler's Puma, whose mission statement / tag line 'stay fresh' is either a cross promotion with a sandwich franchise or targets a decidedly younger set. CNG thinks it to be the latter ;)
Regardless, Peter Millar apparel, whose 2010 spring line was the focus of a post over on the Khaki Crusader just last week, stays timeless using traditional materials of the highest quality such as cashmere and merino wool. Peter Millar has a strong focus on building relationships with both its retailers and clients - commendable in an age where customer service is second to sourcing the next sale.
Millar counts Steve Stricker and Charley Hoffman, among others, amongst its Tour staff.
Matteson wore FootJoy DryJoys to victory.
