Nike Golf Club Collection pays tribute to 1986

There was a day when Nike took a lot of heat for not being an authentic golf brand. And they still do. Golf purists can be a finicky bunch.

Sometimes we're amazed steel replaced hickory, urethane replaced balata, and Gortex replaced oiled silk.

Yet somehow they did.

This season, Nike Golf is creating buzz with bundles, releasing collections in 'theme packs' at regular intervals, all while leveraging fresh faces such as Tony Finau in its campaigns.

The latest addition to the Nike Golf Club Collection commemorates 1986, the year Nike moved into the golf apparel market (Seve Ballesteros at the 1986 Masters).
