Legendary Spanish golfer Severiano Ballesteros died at his home on Saturday after a lengthy battle with cancer. Ballesteros was 54.

One of my earliest brand recognitions actually came thanks to Ballesteros at the 1986 Masters, when he played the final round with two Nike logos hastily pinned to his visor to cover what ever it was that lay beneath.
From a style perspective, Seve's self confidence and charisma on the links is what came through most of all, and his swashbuckling style of play resulted in purposeful dishevelled look to which I aspire. His style, like his swing, wasn't put together or manufactured, it was pure Seve.
